What the Score Measures
Six components, one number
Each component is weighted by how much it typically determines whether a small business runs into cash flow trouble.
Cash Runway
Months of operating expenses covered by your projected ending cash. The highest-weighted component: when runway runs out, everything else is moot.
Cash Flow Trend
Whether your projected cash position is rising or falling across the 13-week forecast horizon. A declining trajectory is a warning even when today’s balance looks healthy.
A/R Health
The quality of your receivables weighted by age. Current invoices score full credit. Ninety-plus day invoices score near zero. One large past-due account can move this component significantly.
A/P Pressure
Total open payables as a fraction of available cash. When what you owe approaches what you have, the pressure on liquidity is measurable and scored here.
Liquidity Buffer
Weeks of average outflows covered by current cash. The minimum safety cushion your business needs to absorb one unexpected large expense.
Revenue Stability
How consistent and directionally positive your monthly revenue has been over the last six months. Volatility here raises uncertainty across every other component.
