Scenario Planning & What-If Engine
CentsOf.AI now lets you model any business decision against your 13-week cash flow forecast before you commit. New hire, equipment purchase, price change, delayed collections, or any custom adjustment: see the projected ending cash, lowest balance point, and Cash Flow Health Score impact in seconds.
Every Decision Has a Cash Consequence
Most small business decisions get made on gut feel because running the numbers takes too long. You know hiring will cost money, but you don't know exactly when the cash squeeze hits, how deep it goes, or how long it lasts. The Scenario Planner answers all three questions in seconds, using your real QuickBooks data as the baseline.
Build a scenario, hit Compute, and the planner rolls your actual starting cash forward through 13 weeks with your adjustment layered in. You see the full weekly breakdown, the lowest cash point, and the projected ending balance side by side with your baseline.
Five Quick-Start Templates
The Scenario Planner ships with five templates that cover the most common planning decisions small business owners face.
- New Hire: Enter a salary and start date. The planner shows the projected impact on your weekly cash balance and Cash Flow Health Score over the next 13 weeks.
- Equipment Purchase: Enter the cost and timing of any capital expense. See exactly how it moves your lowest cash point and ending balance.
- Price Change: Model a percentage increase or decrease in revenue and see the projected cash impact across the full forecast window.
- Delayed Collections: Model what happens to your cash position if customers start paying slower. The planner shifts expected inflows by the number of weeks you specify.
- Custom Adjustment: Build any scenario from scratch: add or subtract a one-time cash event, recurring revenue, or recurring expense at any point in the forecast.
What the planner shows for every scenario:
Save, Compare, and Stack
Every scenario you build can be saved with a name. Open Compare Mode to view two saved scenarios side by side, including their effect on ending cash balance and Health Score. Save as many as you need and revisit them any time.
The full weekly breakdown can be exported to PDF from the scenario builder, ready to share with a lender, partner, or advisor.
FREM Knows Your Scenarios
FREM is fully aware of the Scenario Planner. Ask it anything about a decision you're modeling and it will answer using your real data and the context of what you're considering.
- “Can I afford to hire someone at $60,000 next month?”
- “What happens to my cash if customers pay two weeks late?”
- “How does buying new equipment affect my Health Score?”
- “What is my lowest cash point if I run both scenarios?”
- “Which scenario gives me the better ending cash balance?”
How to Access It
The Scenario Planner is live in your dashboard now at /dashboard/scenarios. Find it in the dashboard navigation or click the Scenario Planning card on your main dashboard. Select a quick-start template or build a custom scenario from scratch, hit Compute, and see your projected cash impact in seconds.
A QuickBooks connection is recommended for the most accurate baseline, but the planner works with any starting cash balance. See the Scenario Planning feature page for the full breakdown.
